How it Works:
Artists on our site get exposed to over 10,000 hits per day, 5000
unique visitors per week, and 50,000 page views per month. We promote
primarily new music to keep our catalog small enough to be viewed
by the buying public. No commissions are taken
on the sale of CDs. All transactions of CD sales are done directly
between the buyer and the artist or between buyer and third party
distributer.
Why We Are Unique:
All of our artists get to sell their CD on the website of their
choice. We 'push' the sale to any website that has the CD or the
download file for sale. We take no commissions on the sale. We work
with every other music site including CDBaby, Itunes, Aol, etc.
What We Offer FOR FREE:
You get your own artist
page complete with bio, photo, links to your music and or videos,
reviews, interviews, CDs for sale , live events listing, artist
contact email. The only requirement is that YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN
WEBSITE that hosts the audio files. We link to audio files we don't
host them.
HIstory:
Hi my name is Paul Scaturro, my roots in the music business reach
back to 1986 with the opening of a professional recording studio
on Long Island, New York. Along the way I have had the pleasure
of working with Mariah Carey, Taylor Dayne, Public Enemy, Debbie
Gibson, Donny Osmond, EPMD, the late Jason Mizell of Run DMC and
many more.
After a few years, the studio grew into very popular hub of recording
activity, so I moved around the block to a new 6000 square foot
facility. To be honest I had to move because Public Enemy was making
too much noise for our neighbors :) It was there that I established
what would become a premiere recording facility, highly sought after
by well known musicians and producers. At the new and expanded location,
I continued to build on relationships with artists including Busta
Rhymes, Seal, Mobb Deep, Salt 'n Pepa, LL Cool J, Vanessa Williams,
Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Eric Serman, Red Man, Keith Murray, and
dance legend Danny Teneglia.
 Over
the years, I've continued to establish friendships and working relationships
with some of the world's best producers and arrangers. I have spent
many years learning what it takes to make a highly regarded, commercially
viable music product. As a result of these efforts, there are many
gold and platinum records gracing my walls. I even wrote
a hit dance single back in 1989 called 'Walk Away'.
As of February 2003, I decided to call
it quits in the recording industry and focus entirely on this new
venture, webcds.com. I have created the next generation music promotion portal for the
professional and serious musician. Having witnessed the rags to
riches story time and time again, I now help promote both
major and independent recording artists looking to bring
their music to the world!
